The Asterisk Fax Manager

Asterisk Logo

This introduction describes the goal of The Asterisk Fax Manager (TAFM). First is described what Asterisk is and why TAFM is developed. Second a short description is given how it works, but for further information go to the how it works page.

What is Asterisk
Asterisk is a complete PBX in software. It runs on Linux and provides all of the features you would expect from a PBX and more. One of these features is to receive faxes. Here fore a module called spandsp can be used.
The incoming faxes will be stored in a directory and send to the admins e-mail.

TAFM will be used to manage the faxes. To give some important information to the fax. A webinterface is developed which gives information about the incoming faxes and the last x faxes. Also there is a possibility to browse through an archive. See how the interface looks like, check the screenshots.

For support read the documentation which can be found by the program, it also includes an e-mail address for questions/bugs/ideas. Go to the download page to download TAFM.
